Helium 510

During development of whole new Helium range ( Helium510, Helium 520 and Helium 520C) special emphasis was given to the fact, that they work well even relatively modest amplifiers and less-than-perfect source material such as MP3 and other convenient digital formats.

Due to controlled dispersion Helium510 adapts well to many "audiophilewise far from ideal" - placements, where traditional non-controlled speakers run into trouble. A typical example is bookshelf, where controlled dispersion keeps the imaging and midrange clarity intact.

Argon³

Argon3 follows on the footsteps of Argon2 and Argon2 Anniversary, which have collected numerous praises world over from satisfied customers and nitpicking reviewers alike.

An Integrator tweeter, which was developed for the Krypton2 is crossed over at breathtakingly low 1200 Hz. Having the crossover point well under the area where human hearing is most precise allows the tweeter and woofer to integrate perfectly.

All tweeters of Argon3 is tested by human ear for any anomalities before assembly.

Newly designed waveguide improves resolution, extention and energy dispersion of the speaker tremendously.

Argon3 has stiff and light aluminium cone, which leads to great bass performance out of relatively modest sized box. A low crossover ensures that aluminium´s natural tendency for ringing around 3000 Hz is eliminated, which leads to smooth, clean, neutral yet lively and dynamic performance.

A high quality pure copper internal wiring and 24K gold plated German WBT terminals are also used.

As all the other Amphion products also Argon3 is handmade in Finland.

Prio 510

Prio 510 is a gorgeous two-way ported design sporting a number of high-quality touches that makes the Prio 510 standout from the crowd. It packs a surprising package of innovation and technical finesse resulting in true audiophile performance.

The refined 5th generation waveguide lowers distortion, improves resolution and tweeter´s extention. Prio 510 is forms a new benchmark as far as imaging and midrange resolution are concerned.

The compact standmount uses an exceptionally high-quality 25mm titanium tweeter that enables the Prio 510 to extend up to 30,000Hz. The high-end tweeter unit is joined by a 135mm (5.25-inch) Peerless Nomex mid/bass driver, which gives the speaker solid and quick bass, which extends down to 50Hz.

Prio 510 is available in full white, classic black and white, black, cherry and Finnish birch.

Prio 520

Prio 520 is a slim two-way construction, which does not take any more room than a small bookshelf provides much more bass output. Prio 520 was the first Amphion product to introduce the TAPS (Time Accurate Point Source) – concept. TAPS ensures perfect integration of the drivers and creates a time-coherent point source multi-driver combination. A low crossover point of 1600 Hz together with precise voice coil placement allows drivers to act like one big unit. The newly improved waveguide drastically improves the tweeter extention and purity further improving the the traits Paul Messenger noted in this review for Hifi Choice "this speaker is capable of fine focus and very superior imaging, with good depth perspectives and precise soundstaging".

Due to high sensitivity and carefully selected balance Prio 520 and acoustically identical center speaker 520 C can be used with a variety of signal chains with superb results.
