Nova
It is not often that new milestones in audio are set: The Nova is one of those rare products that fit well into this elite category of firsts.
Nova should be considered if you’re looking to improve computer-based or streaming audio to a “high-end” performance level; or if you just need a "new millennium integrated amplifier". iDac
Peachtree Audio, the guys who brought us the decco and Nova announced the iDac at Rocky Mountain this past weekend. Featuring a digital ipod dock, two coax, two optical and a USB input, the iDac looks like another home run! Pricing and availability tbd.
combines the usual 24/192kHz S/PDIF inputs with a 24/96-capable USB input and an iPod dock that, like the Peachtree iDecco amplifier that is favorably reviewed by Art Dudley in our December 2010 issue, takes the audio data from the iPod in digital form. The iDAC uses the latest version of ESS's 32-bit Sabre32 D/A chip.
